ISLK - International School of Lund is an IB World School authorized to teach the IB Early Years Programme, Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme. The school works in close collaboration with Katedralskolan where the IB Diploma Programme is offered. ISLK is a growing school and has approximately 470 students at the moment.

The ISLK Early Years Programme offer both the Swedish curriculum for pre-school and the IB PYP. The teaching and learning is inquiry- and play-based. The pre-school has 35-40 students.

Job description

As a pre-school teacher, you collaborate and plan closely with the EYP team to develop a play- and inquiry based learning environment for students 3-4 year-olds, which promotes student agency. You are responsible for planning, teaching and developing the curriculum within the standards and practices of the EYP Early Years Programme/Pre-School. Perform other related duties as assigned. You work closely with the program coordinators.

Qualifications

• Trained Pre-school teacher
• Experience working with 3-4 year-olds in a pre-school setting.
• Experience of play- and inquiry based teaching and learning.
• Lead activities based on a holistic view of the child and designed so that care, socialization and learning together form a coherent whole. Experience of planning, documenting and evaluating the work.
• A plus if you have worked in an IB School.

Requirements

Attitudes and skills for a cross Culture Environment. Very good communicative, organizational and collaborative skills. Create excellent relationships with students, staff and colleagues based on Mutual respect. Excellent digital skills in daily work. The applicant needs to take initiative, be flexible and secure in the professional role. Working language is English.
