Substitutes – Our Invaluable Resources

Throughout the school year, we periodically require committed and flexible individuals who want to work as a substitute at the International school of Lund, ISLK, of Lund Municipality. Whether you want to act as a resource for our students in the classroom, or work in after-school care (fritidshem), you are an invaluable part of our team when our regular staff members are absent.

With over 50 nationalities represented in our student body, and more than 15 nationalities amongst our staff, ISLK - the International School of Lund - inspires students from all over the world. With the globally recognized academic IB PYP and MYP programmes, we offer a diverse, supporting and welcoming community in the heart of the city of Lund.

Your Role

We are looking for a professional and reliable person who can quickly adapt to different classroom environments while ensuring that students remain engaged, safe, and focused on their learning. Your responsibilities will primarily include supervising students during lessons, maintaining a positive, well-managed environment and, when required, during break times and other school activities. We may also ask you to cover different subjects or grade levels during the same day, therefore flexibility is an important part of this role!

We offer a flexible work environment where you can work on a need-be basis, anything from single days to prolonged periods, depending on our needs. The role follows the academic calendar, with hours primarily scheduled Monday through Friday.

Requirements and Background

Have you graduated High School? Perfect! If you are also a qualified teacher’s assistant, after-school educator, or teacher - or are currently studying in these fields - you are exactly who we are looking for.

We also warmly welcome candidates from other fields who are looking for a meaningful part-time job alongside their studies.

Experience from schools or other educational activities is a plus, but not a requirement.
